A Cute Car Air Freshener – My Smiley Daisy Review
My quest for the best car air fresheners ended when I found Smiley Daisy. Full disclosure, I’m a suburban mom with kids and a husband who I love, he just happens to smoke a lot. He doesn’t do it in the house, but the car reeks of tobacco. I’ve tried virtually every type of car freshener out there, but the smell wouldn’t last long, or it doesn’t really remove the smell etc. Really a waste of my time and money.
A ray of light Smiley Daisy
I was browsing the internet one day and saw this Smiley Daisy ad for your car. I was intrigued because I knew Smiley Daisy diffusers. I’ve been meaning to buy one. That’s when I saw that they also had diffusers for your car! I didn’t even think twice. I chose a couple of cute car air freshener designs and even managed to catch that 15% off coupon thing. The air fresheners were delivered after a week.
Essential Oil Therapy in Your Car
Let me tell you one thing. Where has this been all my life? I can’t believe how great it works. I got these small ring-like car diffusers that looked so cute. I wanted to buy and collect them all, but I chose a couple of diffusers for now. The cloud model and rose model had very cute designs. If you’d look at the designs on the Smiley Daisy website, you’d think they’re small rings with a large button for the setting. They certainly look like dashboard ornaments.
How Does the Smiley Daisy Car Air Diffuser Work?
The metal car air diffuser features a cut out of the design and inside are felt cloth where you drop the oils. Then you attach the diffuser to any car air vent and that’s it! No electricity needed so it’s very safe. I’m telling you that the fragrance can already fill the whole car. Once you turn on the air conditioner, you’re treated to blasts of calming fragrant oil.
What sets this from the rest of air fresheners for cars out there is that this is totally refillable! You just buy additional oil and just put one to three drops every now and then. It blasted away the tobacco smell, sweaty feet (hey I have kids) and spilled coffee creamer that I’ve been meaning to clean up (soon).
Why Oils are Better
Most car fresheners contain synthetic compounds to mimic certain smells. Others come in that hard gel-like substance that slowly disappears over time. I just found out that the semi-solid gel sublimates or literally turns from solid to gas without turning liquid. It’s a bad thing! Apparently, those types of air fresheners get into your lungs and can even leave behind particles that negatively affect your health. Stay away from those!
So far, I love my car air freshener from Smiley Daisy. I plan to buy and collect them, I’ll just keep them in the glove compartment and when I need a new scent, it’s easy to swap, just add a little drop and I’m good to go!
