Aromatherapy Magic in Our Everyday Living

Aromatherapy Magic in Our Everyday Living

for pharmaceuticals blogpost

I am a person that always gets sick. For a long time now, I have been searching for any alternative medicine that I could make use of because it seems that prescription medicines are only making what I feel worse. Then I stumbled upon aromatherapy because a friend once introduced me to it.

At first, I was hesitant because I was thinking, “How could plant oils help me?” But I was wrong, very wrong. People like the old me might think that aromatherapy refers to anything that smells good. Aromatherapy is actually the practice of the therapeutic application of natural oils that are taken from parts of plants.

Aromatherapy itself has a lot of important uses including being a mood enhancer, pain reliever and increases brain functions. You might think that aromatherapy is only for minimal usage, but I am thinking otherwise. I guess the factor that hinders most people from using aromatherapy is the price of essential oils. Essential oils may be expensive but they are very effective. Aside from being diffused with a diffuser, they could also be applied directly to the skin. They are effective that way as well because since they are pure, they are penetrated into the skin much easier.

I always suffer from terrible headaches and my favorite essential oil to cure it would be eucalyptus. After putting some drops of eucalyptus oil in my diffuser, I then indulge in a massage using eucalyptus oil too. It really removes my headache and improves my blood circulation. Having a massage not only relieves me from headaches but also from other pains such as toothaches and body aches. It is helpful because having a massage releases your body’s natural analgesics called endorphins.

Aromatherapy is really important in our everyday lives. In my case, I can never be more thankful for discovering aromatherapy. I was already at the end of my ropes before I discovered it and thank goodness I did, because it really did me wonders. In our house, aromatherapy is everywhere. Even my kids are aware of it and its effects. When I arrive from work, I take an aromatic bath using lavender to make me feel relaxed and rejuvenated.

Nature is truly God’s gift. All we need to do is use it wisely. Aromatherapy is really important in our daily lives. Not only to a sickly person like me, but also to people who wanted to improve their outlook and their health. Aromatherapy is good for people from all walks of life and for all ages.
